Another Long Day Without Power

No power at home or work. It's been miserable. Can't get anything done at work due to power outage. Putting out fires all day.

I was at least able to get my street cleared so I could drive home instead of having to part and walk. It'll probably be at least a week before we get electricity. I swear I've lost 10 lbs in the last two days.

I know it's not so bad, at least all are safe. My brother had two trees hit his home and punch holes in the roof and it's started raining again. I guess I'll be up on his roof with my chain saw sometime this weekend.

I'm tired.

Hurricane Gustav Update

Not much fun today. Got to work at 7am and started preparing things. Phones and computers etc.... All was well until about 10 when the power started blinking. Now on generator backup and it's been a long day.

The winds are finally starting to die down and maybe I'll get a chance to go home for a few just to check on things. I'll probably be back later tonight.

Almost all of Baton Rouge is out of power.
